The Woman’s Clinic is a private practice specialty clinic located in Springfield, MO. We are seeking a part-time Medical Assistant to join our team.

General Summary

This position will assist providers and office staff with patient preparation, scheduling, labs, medical records, and general office/clerical duties.

Specific Responsibilities

• Perform routine lab duties:

1. Draws specimens as directed.

2. Laboratory analysis requires judgment accurately, precisely, and efficiently through the proper use of facilities, supplies, equipment, and resources.

3. Properly label specimens following OSHA/Medicare guidelines and document accordingly.

4. Inventory medical/lab supplies and forward ordering information to appropriate personnel.

• Prepare exam rooms for patient exams.

• Room and interview patient to obtain medical information and vitals. Update information in EMR.

• Work EMR clinical inbox, patient cases, orders, imaging, follow-ups, phone calls and other items as assigned.

• Carry out providers orders accurately, administer medications accurately, and observe patient response.

• Assist providers, coworkers, and with general office duties.

• Clean and sterilize medical instruments.

• Dispose of contaminated supplies properly.

• Clean and stock examination rooms, closets, sample closets, nurse’s area, and laboratory.

• Daily laundry of lines.

• Conduct medical supply and supply ordering.

Must be dependable with a positive attitude and willingness to be a team player. Demonstrate flexibility to perform duties wherever volume / need deems necessary.

Vaccines are recommended but not required.

 

Job Type: Part -Time

 

Schedule:

• 4–8-hour shift

• Day Shift

• Monday to Friday

• No Holidays

 

Education / Experience:

• Required: High school diploma or equivalent

• Successful completion of Medical Assistant program with certification.

 

License/Certification:

• Medical Assistant Certificate

• Basic Life Support (Preferred)
